Subhash Bose Park

Subhash Bose Park, also known as Subhash Chandra Bose Park, is a popular waterfront park in the heart of Ernakulam, Kochi. Spread across about 11.5 acres near the Ernakulam Boat Jetty and Marine Drive, it offers scenic views of Vembanad Lake and Cochin Harbour. The park is known for its landscaped lawns, walking paths, seating areas, children’s play spaces, and a musical walkway with different themed sound zones. After a major renovation, it has become one of the city’s favourite spots for evening walks, family outings, photography, and relaxing by the waterfront. Its central location makes it easy to combine with nearby places like Marine Drive, the ferry point, and other Kochi attractions. The best time to visit is in the evening or during the cooler months from October to March, when the weather is pleasant and the harbour views are at their best.

How to Reach

  • By Kochi Metro: Maharaja’s College or M.G. Road/Maharaja’s Ground Metro Station (around 5 minutes from the park). From the station, visitors can walk or take a short auto-rickshaw ride to Subhash Bose Park.
  • By Train: Ernakulam Junction (about 1.5 - 2 km). The park can be reached in around 5 - 10 minutes by auto-rickshaw or taxi from the station.
  • By Water: Ernakulam Boat Jetty is located right next to Subhash Bose Park, making ferry travel one of the easiest options, especially from Fort Kochi and Mattancherry.
